Tintype Studio Session

In 1851 the world marveled at this new form of photography.

The wet plate collodion process is truly a unique process.

A session like this is very different from a modern portrait session. It is a process that takes much time and practice to create a one of a kind hand made image. It is more then just an image. In the session you will actually see every step of the image being created. It's an experience you will not soon forget. The image itself is not like any modern image. This is not digital. There is no photoshop or editing of any kind. No prints are made. This simply can not be replicated using modern equipment.

This is one of my cameras that I absolutely love to use.

My Victorian studio can be set up at any event. I have both modern and period correct set ups.

My 8x10 camera is more then just a conversation piece. Under the dark cloth is where your image starts to take shape.
